JON HOLMES

Jon Holmes enjoys a prolific career as a writer, comedian and broadcaster, the recipient of five Sony Awards for Comedy. He hosts his own show on BBC 6Music and appears on Radio 4’s The Now Show as well as creating and starring in his own series Listen Against. He also co-created the hit show Dead Ringers. On Radio 2 he writes and hosts the comedy The Day The Music Died. He also co-wrote Stephen Fry’s script for the BAFTA Film Awards and his first book, Rock Star Babylon, is published by Penguin.

His TV work includes writing, performing and presenting in various combinations on 7 Days (BBC3) Time Trumpet (BBC 2), Armando Iannucci’s Gash (CH4), Have I Got News For You and Mock The Week (both BBC1) and he mistakenly co-hosted Series 5 of The 11 O’Clock Show on Channel 4. He was also Programme Consultant on the multi award winning V Graham Norton (CH4) and was once asked to go into the jungle on I’m A Celebrity.. Get Me Out of Here. He told them to sod off. Jon holds a joint degree in English and Radio, Film and Television from Christ Church, Kent.
