Pappy's Fun Club (now Pappys who consist of Matthew Crosby, Ben Clark and Tom Parry) was established in July 2004 as a comedy collective, making their début appearance at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2006 and nominated for Best Newcomer in 2007 at the Chortle Awards, and receiving nominations at if.comedyaward (formerly the Perrier Comedy Award).
The team have appeared on the BBC Three comedy programme Comedy Shuffle and Answer Me This! taking turns to answer questions submitted by listeners alongside regular hosts Helen Zaltzman and Oliver Mann.
Regularly contributing to BBC Switch with Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1, performing sketches and live, they have recorded a self-titled pilot for BBC Radio 4 and a self-titled ComedyLab for Channel 4 television. On 13 June 2009, Ben Clark and Matthew Crosby appeared as Ed and Oucho impersonators on BBC Two's Transmission Impossible with Ed & Oucho.
