  Will Hitchins & Tom Brookes film Going Postal won Best Short Film and was awarded with a selection of filmmaking courses from Insight Education. Affiliated with SOAS, University of London, Insight provides a professional standard of education in film, video and screen media.  They offer certificates in Directing Fiction, Documentary Making, Film Producing, Editing and Theory of Film Practice.  They also offer masterclasses with such people as Asif Kapadia, Tony Grisoni and Abbas Kiarostami.

Raindance Film Festival logo   Facebook Friends, from Islington’s Keeley Lawrence, won the Best Screenplay award and a place on Raindance’s Writing for Comedy with Dave Cohen, a 2-day course 26th/27th April, In London.

Dave Cohen has been writing and performing comedy for a living for 25 years. He was nominated for the Perrier Award in 1984, and co-founded the Comedy Store Players with Paul Merton and Mike Myers. He has written for dozens of radio and TV shows including ‘News Quiz’, ‘Sunday Format’, ‘Dead Ringers’ and ‘Spitting Image’. He is a regular writer on ‘Have I Got News For You’, and is currently writng the fifth series of his hit Radio 4 series ‘15 Minute Musicals’. In 2001 he won the British Comedy Heritage Award for Best Comedy Writer. In 2004 he was invited by Fred Barron to become part of the ‘My Family’ writing team, and currently has sitcoms in development with BBC1 and Channel 4.
